In this session, geared toward rookie specialists, we will discover best practices for creating meaningful employer relationships. We will also work through the “scaries,” of connecting with employers and making the important “ask” of providing engagements for your students and factors to consider when leading up to the engagement. In addition, we will discuss best practices for using data to drive employer engagement to serve program participants best.

In this breakout session, participants will engage in meaningful circle conversations to explore the practical applications of neuroscience and project-based learning (PBL) for supporting Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) students. Through facilitated discussions, attendees will share insights, strategies, and experiences to better understand how to address the unique challenges faced by JAG students, particularly in relation to stress, trauma, and the development of executive function skills critical for employability.

Attendees will practice empathy and knowing who their market is, while properly aligning their innovation strategies with their market in order to create value for their customer, therefore creating value for themselves.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the Career Association, how it works, and the various ways it can be the catalyst for driving your program to the highest level. You will be inspired to develop student leaders and empower them to shape their local chapter in a way that breathes life and hope into the JAG classroom, school and community. Likewise, you will receive tools to make establishing your program as simple as possible so you can focus on being a strong, empowering, and hopeful advisor!

NEW SPECIALISTS WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF JAGFORCE! This workshop will provide you with an overview of the JAGForce database, where all JAG programs capture data necessary to demonstrate the success of the JAG Model. You will be provided with a live walk-through of all the data components captured through data, and how to view and monitor your data using Dashboards and Reports. You will also see how to utilize List Views, and adjust those List Views to enter and/or update multiple records at the same time.
